Principalii scriitori de basme, povesti, povestiri, sunt Fratii Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen, Lewis Carroll, Wilhelm Hauff, Barbu Stefanescu Delavrancea, Ion Creanga, Petre Ispirescu...
